Men Who Sing
Thursday February 3rd, 2022 - 7:30pmDuration: 1 hour 18 minutes
This humorous and melancholic portrait of a male voice choir begins when the filmmakers’ father, widower Ed, 90, sells the family home and arranges his own funeral. His only remaining solace is Tuesday night practice, but with an average age of 74 they’re currently performing at more funerals than anywhere else! They must act or face extinction. So the hunt begins to find ‘brown haired men’ in their 40s and 50s who can take the choir forward to a singing competition in Ireland. Lead by ex-opera singer Ann Atkinson, the group do what they can to gather the money and the choir members needed to make it to the competition.
