Holy Cow + The Big Cheese Off!

Saturday July 12th, 2025 - 7.30pm

Holy Cow is the story of 18-year-old Totone who spends most of his time drinking beer and partying in the Jura region with his group of friends until reality catches up with him when he has to take care of his 7-year-old sister and find a way to make a living.   In a somewhat naïve but totally courageous move, he sets out to make the best Comté cheese in the region in an attempt to win the gold medal at the agricultural competition and 30,000 euros.

We just couldn’t resist the opportunity to try the Comté cheese and see how it compares to local cheeses, so in the ‘Big Cheese off!’ all audience members will get the chance to taste and decide on their favourite, alongside guest judges Stuart Collins of Great British Menu fame and Shropshire Young Farmer Chair Millie Preece – all included in your cinema ticket.
