In 1960s Baltimore, dance-loving teen Tracy Turnblad (Nikki Blonsky) auditions for a spot on a primetime TV show and wins. She becomes an overnight celebrity, a trendsetter in dance, fun and fashion.
Hairspray is part of our Dementia-Friendly Movie Matinees season: these screenings are relaxed screenings with the lights left on at a low level throughout the film, teas and coffees served midway through the film so we can all have a cuppa and a catch-up, and specially-trained ushers on hand to help with anything you may need.
