Shropshire Building Better Opportunities
Funding will support projects in England that tackle poverty and promote social inclusion. Wem Into Work is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund.
Based at Wem Town Hall, Wem into Work provides bespoke one to one support to job seekers to provide them with the skills and help they need to get back into employment. Working with our clients, we can provide much needed support with CV development, job hunting , confidence building, interview skills practice & techniques and general & bespoke training. Wem into Work also provides access to the internet with a quiet space to work once a week to provide individuals with the tools to job hunt independently. To be eligible for this assistance and support, participants must be over 19 and be unemployed or economically inactive.

About the Building Better Opportunities Project
BBO Shropshire is made up of twenty partners organisations, all with specialist skills and experience, to help those facing barriers to employment move closer to and into work. The partnership provides basic skills training, confidence-building activities, specialist skills training as well as working with individuals on a one-to-one basis to jointly create an appropriate plan to help them progress through the programme into volunteering, training and / or employment. This project ends in 2022.
