Helping Local People Back Into Work

Searching for jobs can be stressful and disheartening, especially if you have been out of employment for a long time. We realise how frustrating job hunting can be, that’s why we offer bespoke support to local unemployed people, to make the job searching process as easy and simple as possible.

We understand that each person has different needs and circumstances – we make sure to listen to your story and understand your job requirements. Once enrolled onto our Wem Into Work project, we will provide support and assistance creating and improving CVs, creating a cover letter and how to fill out application forms.

Struggling to understand the difference between a cover letter and CV? We like to think of it like a film (after all Wem Town Hall is a cinema too!). The cover letter is the beautifully designed movie poster that makes you intrigued by the film. The CV is the trailer, a short burst of all your best bits. The interview is the movie itself – your time to tell your story.

Once all the paperwork is polished, we will then look at improving confidence and help you through the interview process. It is always important to realise that the person interviewing you is a human being too – nothing scary about that! With connections to local businesses and a quiet space with access to the internet, we can provide the tools for you to job hunt independently and go after that dream job.
