‘In the Hands of Boys’ uses dance, poetry and photography to share stories about Shropshire’s involvement in the First World War. Boys and young men from six schools across the county have been working with artists, heritage educators and using archive and museum resources to explore the war. Each school has focused on a particular aspect of the war in Shropshire and have visited sites
across the county with First World War links.
‘In the Hands of Boys’ forms part of Shropshire’s programme of commemorative events, cultural activity and education, to honour and remember the lives of those who served in and were affected by the War.
This exhibition is funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, Shropshire Council and participating partners.
