The festive season is upon us! We have a jam (or should that be marmalade?!) packed programme this December, perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit.

 

If you’re looking for a festive evening out for some last minute gift shopping, look no further than our Winter Festival, as part of Wem  Late Night Shopping and Light Switch On! Come down on Friday 1st December, 5pm – 9pm for crafts, delicious foods, handmade jewellery and much, much more! Free Entry!

Sit back and relax and spot some familiar locations with our dementia friendly showing of the Shrewsbury version of ‘A Christmas Carol’ on Monday 4th December, 1.30pm – we’ll have you ‘bah humbugging’ your winter blues away! Tickets £5, Carers Free

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without the Royal Ballet’s The Nutcracker!  Fall in love with this gorgeous ballet with its dancing snowflakes, festive period setting and enchanting stage magic on Tuesday 5th December, 7.15pm.

Enjoy a cracker of a show with the energetic and highly entertaining Churchfitters as they perform a mouth-watering selection of favourites from their repertoire interlaced with traditional and original festive songs and Christmas Carols – exploding onto our stage on Friday 8th December, 7.30pm. Do you believe in miracles? Have a cosy night out watching the Christmas classic ‘Miracle On 34th Street (1947)’ and start believing in Santa Claus again! Screening Tuesday 12th December, 1.30pm and Thursday 14th December, 7.30pm.

See in the New Year with the brilliant Sir Simon Rattle and the Berliner Philharmoniker orchestra on Sunday 31st December, 4pm as they present a glittering New Year’s Eve Gala Concert broadcast live from Berlin.

Or keep the Family entertained with everyone’s favourite marmalade loving bear, Paddington! Screening throughout December and with 19 years and under at only £5, it’s the perfect way to get the family out of the house to wrap those all important presents!
